This section of my website is dedicated to my BMW 330Ci convertible. The car was custom ordered in April, 2002, built in May, and delivered into my waiting hands on July 17 after its trip across the atlantic and through the Panama Canal on a Wallenius transport vessel from the factory in Germany. The car was built fully loaded, equipped with the following options:
 

  • Premium Package (rain-sensing wipers, wood trim, upgraded sound system, electrochromic auto-dimming rearview mirror, 4-way power lumbar seats, BMW universal transceiver)

  • Sport Package (Sport suspension; 10-way power front sport seats with 2-way manual thigh support including 2-way headrests;  M Double Spoke (Styling 68M) alloy wheels, 17 x 7.5 front, 17 x 8.5 rear; 225/45ZR-17 front, 245/40ZR-17 rear performance tires)

  • BMW GPS navigation system with high-function On Board Computer and video display monitor

  • 3-stage heated front seats

  • Xenon low-beam headlights with autoleveling

  • Orient Blue metallic paint

  • Sand leather interior

With MY2002, the sport package also included clear/white turn signal indicators, and the premium package introduced a new feature, automatic headlight control. I've upgraded to the clear indicators (see the Mods section of the site), and am investigating the feasibility of adding the automatic headlight control – it looks promising that this can be accomplished simply by swapping in the new LSZ (light control module) for the 2002 model.
